Please find below the applicable terms and related customer notifications for processing of various FX transactions across Emirates NBD services and channels:
FX rates are indicative
Warning: This product/service may be affected by changes in foreign currency exchange rates.
Exchange rate displayed on transfer pages are indicative. Prevailing rates will be applied at the time of processing.
Processing time
Warning: The actual time to complete a transaction may differ from estimates due to increased scrutiny of transactions by the correspondent bank/financial institution or entity providing financial services to the beneficiary of remittances.
Penalties & Fees
Warning: Penalties and Fees may be applied if there is a customer error or omission in providing correct or incomplete information for remittances.
Ensure accuracy of details provided prior to submitting the transfer request. In case if customer provides incorrect or incomplete details transactions will be rejected & refunded at prevailing exchange rates and loss if any will have to be borne by the remitter.
Additional fees by correspondent bank
Warning: Additional fees may be levied by the correspondent bank/financial institution or entity providing financial services to the beneficiary of remittances.
The beneficiary payout amount may be subject to additional costs. Correspondent bank charges may be applicable subject to currency, destination country/bank and amount basis selection of charge code.

Cooling-off waiver
Customer agrees to waive cooling-off period for the FX transaction as it requires immediate processing.
Ensure accuracy of details provided prior to submitting the transfer request. To cancel or recall any transfer sent, contact the Emirates NBD call center/branch for submitting the request within 24 hours. The processing of such request is subject to refund/reversal confirmation from beneficiary or correspondent bank. Exchange loss amount, if any, shall be levied in such cases.

تحذير : قد يتم فرض رسوم في حال وجود خطأ من قبل العميل أو في حال تقديم معلومات غير صحيحة أو غير مكتملة عند إنشاء عملية التحويل.
يرجى التأكد من دقة المعلومات و التفاصيل قبل إنشاء عملية طلب التحويل . وفي حال ارتجاع مبلغ التحويل بسبب عدم صحة البيانات المقدمة أو بسبب عدم كفايتها فسيتم رفض عملية التحويل وإرجاع المبلغ بحسب سعر الصرف السائد وسيتحمل العميل المحول اي خسائر متكبدة نتيجة لذلك.

تحذير : قد يتم فرض رسوم إضافية من قبل البنك المراسل / المؤسسة المالية أو الجهة التي تقدم خدمات مالية على المستفيد من عمليات التحويل.

يوافق العميل أنه لن توجد فترة سماح للإلغاء عند تنفيذ أي معاملة بالعملات الأجنبية لأن مثل هذه العمليات تتطلب معالجة فورية.
يرجى التأكد من دقة التفاصيل المقدمة قبل تقديم طلب التحويل. لإلغاء أو لإسترجاع أي عملية تحويل تم إرسالها، اتصل بمركز الاتصال أو أي من فروع بنك الإمارات دبي الوطني لتقديم طلبك خلال 24 ساعة من وقت تنفيذ العملية. ستخضع معالجة مثل هذه الطلبات لشرط إستلام إشعار تأكيد عملية الإسترجاع أو الإلغاء المستلم من قبل المستفيد أو البنك المُراسل بعملية التحويل. سيتم في مثل هذه الحالات تحصيل أي مبلغ تمّ خسارته خلال تنفيذ عملية صرف العملة الأجنبية.

Yes. Cardholders can load different currencies onto the GlobalCash depending on where they are going. The card is reloadable, so they can use it for all their trips.
GlobalCash is a chip and PIN protected prepaid MasterCard® currency card. Cardholders can load up to 15 currencies onto it in advance and then use it in millions of ATMs worldwide displaying the MasterCard Acceptance mark to access their money quickly and safely. Cardholders can also pay for goods and services at merchants, wherever MasterCard is accepted.

The secondary Card can be obtained only along with the Primary Card as an add-on Card and not later. Both the primary Card and the secondary Card can be used concurrently. You can choose to use the secondary Card in the event that the primary Card is lost or stolen. Please remember that in case your primary (and or secondary) Card lost, misused or stolen, contact our 24-hour Customer Service immediately. If you choose not to use your secondary Card, you must keep the secondary Card and PIN in a safe place and must not give the Card to anyone else. If you do happen to use your secondary Card and PIN instead of the primary Card, you will not de-activate or cancel the primary Card.
You can use ATMs, Emirates NBD Online Banking, Mobile Banking, GlobalCash Mobile App and My Account page to view the Card balance.

This should only happen if MasterCard® is not accepted at that location; you are shopping in a restricted country; you don’t have enough money on the Card to cover the purchase or the merchant does not accept prepaid Cards (eg. a cruise company). If the merchant supports, you can always use what money you have on your GlobalCash Card to make a partial payment and then use another form of payment acceptable to the merchant for the remainder of the purchase. Be aware that some merchants, such as restaurants and car hire companies, may require the Card to have an available balance greater than the purchase amount before they will authorize the payment.
If an ATM screen or merchant prompts you to choose ‘which account’, you should select the ‘Credit’ option.
Emirates NBD will charge you overseas ATM usage fees for making withdrawals but not for balance enquiries at ATMs displaying the MasterCard® Acceptance Mark. There are no charges for point of sale purchase transactions except for cash transactions.
A pre-authorisation is a hold over funds on your Card. A merchant such as a hotel or car hire company may estimate the cost of your bill and ask you to use a Card as guarantee. The merchant will then put a hold over the pre-authorised amount which you’ll not be able to use to make transactions. Pre-authorisation can last for up to 30 days. Emirates NBD does not recommend that you to use your GlobalCash Card for pre-authorisation. You can of course use your GlobalCash Card to settle your final bill.
Some merchants and ATM operators abroad give you the choice of paying in either local currency or your home currency (UAE Dirhams). If you choose to do your transaction in your home currency, this will result in the retailer or ATM operator levying an additional foreign exchange transaction fee on you as the Card will seek to transact in UAE Dirhams rather than the local currency.
If given the option, ALWAYS choose to pay in local currency e.g. in Paris choose Euros, in India choose Indian Rupees – this will ensure you are not charged an additional foreign exchange transaction fee by the merchant or ATM operator.
