There are a number of ways you can deposit cash into your account. You can use Mobile or Online Banking, visit a branch or use one of our Cash Deposit Machines (CDMs) or Interactive teller machines (ITMs).

We have a number of these machines at various locations as well as in our branches to make it convenient for you. To find one close to you, please use our branch locator and search for 'CDM' or 'ITM'.

 

You can deposit cheques or currency notes as follows:

  • Up to 150 notes at one time and 450 notes per transaction
  • Up to 25 cheques

Some of our CDMs allow you to deposit coins as well. You can pay up to 800 coins (25, 50 fils and AED 1).

When you make a deposit, your money will be deposited into your account instantly, even on weekends and public holidays.

FAQs

The daily cash deposit limit at CDMs and ITMs is AED 100,000 for individuals and AED 500,000 for non-individuals. The machine will alert you if you’re attempting to deposit more than this amount. Please visit a branch to deposit a larger amount of cash.

Yes, you can place a request for a higher cash deposit limit, but approval will be subject to Emirates NBD's policies.

Please call us immediately on +971 600 54 0000 for assistance. If your Emirates ID was captured, don’t worry, it will be collected and returned to you. If you left your debit or credit card in the machine, we’ll block it and send you a replacement card.

When you call us, make sure to have the following information so we can assist you immediately:

  • Machine ID of the CDM
  • Transaction date
  • Deposit amount
  • Account number or debit card number
  • Your Emirates ID number

You’ll receive an SMS on your registered mobile number when you make a deposit into your account. The SMS will state the amount you deposited and your available balance.

No, you need to have either your Emirates ID or your debit card to deposit cash into your account.

ITM service operating hours are from 8 am to 9 pm (Monday to Saturday) and 1:30 pm to 7:30 pm (Sundays and public holidays).

To update your mobile number on record with us, follow these simple steps.

If there is a technical issue with your cash deposit transaction and the money was not returned to you, the CDM will prompt you to enter your mobile number and the amount you deposited. You can expect a call from one of our agents soon. Please have the following information handy:

  • Machine ID of the CDM
  • Transaction date
  • Deposit amount
  • Account number or debit card number
  • Emirates ID number

If the amount is less than AED 2,000, your request will be processed the next working day. If the amount is above AED 2,000, it will take 3 to 4 working days.

The following are the services available through all our CDMs:

  • Cash deposit to Emirates NBD or Emirates Islamic accounts
  • Cash deposits towards Emirates NBD loans
  • Payment towards your utility bills, fines, telephone bill, SALIK, airline tickets, NOL, donations, select government services and credit cards

The following are the services available through all our Cheque Deposit Machines:

  • Cheque deposit to Emirates NBD or Emirates Islamic accounts and credit cards
  • Payment towards DEWA and Wasel, DREC (Dubai Real Estate Co) and DP World

The following are the services available through an ITM:

  • Cash withdrawal
  • Cash deposit
  • Emirates NBD cheque encashment
  • Emirates NBD and Non-Emirates NBD cheque deposits
  • Balance inquiry for loans, cards, accounts

The following are the services available through all our ATMs:

  • Cash withdrawal
  • Activation of your card
  • Change of card PIN
  • Payment towards utility bills, fines, telephone bill, SALIK, airline tickets and credit cards
  • Available balance inquiry for accounts, savings and loans
  • Transfer of money to your own accounts, other Emirates NBD accounts, mePay transactions, Western Union, Emirates Islamic accounts, local transfers and direct remits to India
  • Update your mobile number, email address or Emirates ID
  • Request for cheque book, mini statement, online and mobile banking services
