What are people asking?
ATM (Automated Teller Machine) is a machine which primarily enables you to access your account for withdrawing cash from your account and availing other services (Balance inq., Mini-statement, PIN change, Payments, Transfers etc.) depending on the card you use. This machine can only dispense cash without the cash acceptance capability.
Cash deposit machine are of two types one can only accept cash but cannot dispense cash and the other having both the functionality. You can deposit cash for your account, do cash payments for utilities services, donations, cash payments for credit cards, cash payments for loans etc. You can also deposit cheque in these machines which are processed online also have the functionality to withdraw cash.
Our ATM machines are designed to accept all types of Debit, Credit and Prepaid Cards, whereas for Cash Deposit machines are for cardless flow and limited to specific account and card types (that is to read the card number only).
Listed below are the transactions available on our ATMs. The services have the dependency of the type of card you are using. For instance, all the below services are available for Emirates NBD Debit Cards whereas withdrawal and Balance inquiry is available for other UAE Bank Cards.

The Bank does levy the charges depending on which interchange (UAE Switch, VISA, and MasterCard etc.) is used by the bank who's ATM has been used to perform your transaction.

One Current and one Savings account can be linked to a debit card.
The maximum cash withdrawal depends on the daily ATM withdrawal limit assigned to the card. Find below ATM withdrawal limits assigned to the debit card.

In a Cash Deposit Machine, you can deposit up to 50 notes in one attempt and can add more 50 notes by selecting the "Add More" option in the screen to deposit. Maximum 150 notes are allowed in one deposit transaction at any point of time.

For Emirates NBD cheque deposit it is up to one working day whereas for other bank cheques it is two working days.
Payment made for credit cards prior to 10 PM will be processed the next working day. PaymentS made post 10 PM will be processed within 2 working days.
Loan payment is instant if it is done in the banking hours (8.00 AM to 2.00 PM) else the next working day.
Yes all our Utility bill payments are instant as we are directly connected to the service providers.
You can call our 24/7 call center (600540000) or inform the branch to report a problem with ATM/Cash deposit machine. Make sure you have the transaction details like Machine ID, location, Date and time while reporting the issue for quick resolution.
You can easily update your Email Address through our Mobile App or any of our ATMs.
How to update your Email Address through the Mobile App:
Login > select Security Centre > select Email Address Update
You will be asked to authenticate this request with your Smart Pass Pin.
How to update your Email Address through an ATM:
Go to Main Menu > Select Requests > Select Email Address Update
If your email address has numbers or special characters, you can toggle between keyboard views by pressing the 123# button.
You can easily update your mobile number through our Mobile App or any of our ATMs.
How to update your mobile number through the Mobile App:
Login > select Security Centre > select Mobile Number Update
You will be asked to authenticate this request with your Smart Pass Pin.
How to update your mobile number through an ATM:
Go to Main Menu > Select Requests > Select Mobile Number Update
SMS is now sent for Cash deposits into Account, Card and Loan reflecting the Account and Outstanding balances.

Business Banking customers requesting for a cheque book can enter the details of the person who is required to receive the cheque book.
In the aforementioned scenario, unfortunately you will not be able to make a cash deposit to your account or credit card. You are required to insert one of these in order to perform a cash deposit transaction at an Emirates NBD Cash deposit machine.
No, you will be required to insert your Emirates ID only while depositing cash into Emirates NBD or Emirates Islamic Accounts and Credit Card(s). All other cash or cheque deposit transactions will not require your Emirates ID to be inserted.
Sure, you can place a request for a higher cash deposit limit, however, it is subject to Emirates NBD's internal policy and approval.
