Emirates NBD participates in Dubai Career Fair

Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, today announced its participation at the Dubai Career, which was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation.

Dubai, 10 April 2017: Emirates NBD, a leading bank in the region, today announced its participation at the Dubai Career, which was inaugurated by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairman of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Knowledge Foundation. The bank will offer spot interviews and admissions to candidates who aspire a career in the high growth banking sector. Taking place from April 9 - 11, 2017 in the Dubai World Trade Center, the exhibition, which is held exclusively for UAE Nationals, is one of the most established leading recruitment, education and training event in the UAE.

At the exhibition, the bank will make spot offers for successful applications received for ‘Programme for Accelerated Learning’ (PAL), a talent development programme for university graduates. PAL is a six-month intense training programme providing training modules covering a range of areas including, complex banking systems, presentation skills, delegation skills, motivation theories, and coaching and counselling, among others. The training also involves on the job training, equipping PAL trainees to gain banking experience whilst preparing them for a variety of Assistant Manager or Officer roles within the bank. Emirates NBD’s participation at the Dubai Career Fair 2017 is in line with the bank’s strategy to boost its Nationalisation efforts.

Commenting on the bank’s participation at Dubai National Career Exhibition 2017, Husam Al Sayed, General Manager of Group Human Resources, Emirates NBD, said: “Emirates NBD strongly supports and encourages national leadership in the bank, and over the years has consistently bolstered its Nationalisation programme to provide young Emiratis with the best training opportunities the UAE has to offer. Emirates NBD will also invite applications for a variety of training and mentoring programmes under its Al Misha’al programme, which is targeted at High School graduates. In addition to the training programmes, the bank has also on offer a number of high-impact job vacancies open for applicants with extensive experience in the banking sector.

As part of its Emiratisation strategy, Emirates NBD runs a series of employment training programmes which reflect the bank's strong commitment to nurturing young Emirati talent. Menha by Emirates NBD is a scholarship programme that provides financial support to UAE national students, while opening doors to future career opportunities at Emirates NBD. The bank's Programme for Accelerated Learning (PAL) which crossed a ten-year milestone in 2015, provides world-class training over to college graduates who aspire for a career in the high growth banking sector. In addition, the bank runs Al Misha'al, a programme that inducts high school graduates into the bank following three months of rigorous training in various job-related subjects such as banking operations, branch automation, and customer service, among others.
