Emirates NBD, one of the leading banking groups in the region, is enabling customers in the UAE to make donations to philanthropic causes through its digital and social platforms.

Dubai, 12 July, 2016: Emirates NBD, one of the leading banking groups in the region, is enabling customers in the UAE to make donations to philanthropic causes through its digital and social platforms.

The bank has in place a ‘Donation’ feature on its online and mobile banking platforms and has now created a ‘Like to Donate’ Facebook app that will allow customers to donate money to their preferred causes via their social media account. The initiatives are aimed at encouraging customers to give back to the community in an efficient and convenient way, while also creating a social network of donation.

Commenting on the announcements, Abdulla Qassem, Group Chief Operating Officer - Emirates NBD said: “Everyone seeks to make the world a better place but most people don’t have the time or access. Emirates NBD is truly happy to offer our customers the convenience and accessibility to donate via our digital and social banking platforms. Emirates NBD’s digital and social donations initiatives aims to empower customers to give back to the community and make a mark on societal development. Using digital as an enabler, the bank is positive that the convenience and efficiency of the new feature will succeed in generating significantly higher funds for its trusted charitable organisations and raising awareness of relevant issues to a wider audience.
