Just remember than you can do this only if your loan repayment mode is set to 'auto debit'. If this is not the case, or if you're not sure if it is, please call us and we'll be happy to help.

Requirements

Your loan must be current and you must not have missed or made any late payments
You can defer payments in non-consecutive months, up to two a year for personal loans and one a year for auto loans
You can't defer payments for home loans

Can I defer my first loan installment?

No, your loan's first installment can’t be deferred.

How many times can I defer my personal and auto loan?

Only two deferrals are allowed for personal loan per loan cycle year and they can’t be consecutive. Only one deferral is allowed for an auto loan per loan cycle year.

How can I make a loan deferment if my mode of payment is PDC or UAEDDS?

There is no deferments on PDC and DSS loans.

I would like to defer my home loan. What should I do?

Deferments are not permitted for home loans. However, if you have suffered job loss, salary reduction, etc. you can write to mortgages@emiratesnbd.com with supporting documents we will look into the case and within approximately 5-7 working days from the date all documents are given.
