About Katarina Premfors

To humbly ask for...is the central theme of Swedish award-winning photographer, Katarina Premfors’ Ramadan exhibition. Aptly titled ‘Supplications’, this event is sponsored by Emirates NBD and will be held at The Empty Quarter at DIFC.

Well-travelled and with a fearless curiosity, Premfors has lived in the UAE since the age of 18. She has a political and cultural awareness of the region that adds immense depth to her work. Bearing in mind that Ramadan is a time for reflection, Premfors’ images for Supplications look at family, solitude, celebration, community, charity and giving. Premfors will be donating a selection of her prints to a silent auction, wherein all proceeds will go to the project charity partner - Social Bandage.

Emirates NBD support Supplications in celebration of the Holy Month and in preservation of the UAE’s culture and heritage which is at the heart of the Group’s sponsorship initiatives.
